Slow traffic this Wednesday, October 9 on the coastal road heading west. A school bus that broke down near La Possession caused a traffic jam of nearly 15km which disrupted traffic as far as the capital of Réunion.

An hour’s drive from Saint-Denis to La Possession this Wednesday, October 9.
A traffic jam quickly formed on the coastal road when a school bus broke down at the exit of the road, near La Possession.
The marmayes present on board were evacuated in another vehicle. Immobilized following this mechanical problem, the broken down heavy goods vehicle neutralized traffic on the right lane.
This change from two to one lane very quickly caused a traffic jam. The traffic jam extended from the western exit of the coastal road to Saint-Denis. Noticeable slowdowns on the southern boulevard and on the Saint-Denis seafront.
Road traffic was also disrupted in the south of the island with this accident which occurred near Pierrefonds.
No casualties to report but material damage was significant.
Another accident occurred on the four lanes of Le Tampon, with slowdowns and traffic jams also in this sector this morning.
