This 3rd day in this group 1 of League C offers a great display between Slovakia and Sweden, co-leaders, who aim to return to League B at the end of this Nations League campaign. The advantage will be with Sweden which has never lost against Slovakia in 7 attempts (4 wins and 3 draws).
Slovakia, defeated in the 1/8 finals of the last Euro after extra time (1-2), entered this Nations League well where it posted 2 great victories without conceding a single goal in Estonia (0-1) and ahead of Azerbaijan (2-0) in Kosice.
Sweden, not qualified for the last European Nations Championship, must be forgiven for this disillusionment in this Nations League. The start of the competition is very promising with 2 big successes in Azerbaijan (1-3) and against Estonia (3-0) on September 8. The Swedish selection has in its ranks two great scorers who panic the scorers. They are Newcastle strikers, Alexander Isak, and Sporting CP, Viktor Gyokeres. The two Swedes are at the top of the scorers’ table with 3 goals each and a double each after only two days played. This trip to Bratislava could allow them to improve their stats.
