The atmosphere is electric in the National Assembly. This Wednesday, October 9, the rebellious MP, Aurélie Trouvé won, to everyone’s surprise, the presidency of the Economic Affairs Committee of the National Assembly, reports Le Figaro. In the process, the Prime Minister, Michel Barnier, expressed his ” concern “ regarding the lack of “solidarity” of the “different entities” of his coalition.

“Weakened” trust

The right demanded a commission presidency and threatened to present three candidates against those of the presidential camp, to block their path.

The former Prime Minister criticizes Wauquiez in particular for not having respected the agreement concluded in July between the right and the former majority.

« Today, Laurent Wauquiez’s group has chosen to favor the election of the rebellious Aurélie Trouvé to the detriment of our colleague Stéphane Travert. I am, like each and every one of you, revolted and deeply sorry for Stéphane, for the National Assembly and for the country »declared Gabriel Attal in a message to his parliamentary group.
