LFI: MP Hugo Prevost excluded for “serious acts of a sexual nature” – LINFO.re

The La insoumise (LFI) group has decided to exclude MP Hugo Prevost. The young elected official, who has barely entered the National Assembly, faces accusations of serious sexual conduct, dating back to before his election.

A mandate ended prematurely

Tuesday October 8, the group Rebellious France announced the exclusion of the deputy Hugo Prevost. The 25-year-old elected official faces accusations of sexual conduct serious, dating back to a period prior to his mandate. Alerted on September 23, LFI mobilized its vigilance committee against sexist and sexual violence (CVSS) to examine the case.

Serious accusations

According to the CVSS committee, the alleged facts include moral and sexual harassmentas well as behaviors qualified as predation. The internal investigation, carried out by a mandated delegation, revealed a series of incidents considered serious and systematic, according to information relayed by the media.

The elected official’s past in the spotlight

The Student Union union, founded by H. Prevost, confirmed these accusations, denouncing acts of moral and sexual harassment spread over several years. These behaviors allegedly persisted even after his departure from the union. Elected after the dissolution of the National Assembly, Mr. Prevost beat Olivier Véran in the first constituency of Isère.
