CHL. Finish as best as possible for

After almost a month of stopping, the Champions Hockey League is back in action for the Dragons. If the hopes of qualification are very slim with five points behind the first qualifier, the Rouennais will do everything to finish this competition as best as possible.

Since the start of the season, the Rouennais may have had regrets in European competition. Over the four matches played, the Normans were very often in the race without ever managing to take points. The final thirds were fatal to the French team. Of the 19 goals conceded, 11 were in the last twenty minutes. And in return, they did not score one in this period. It is in this register that Anthony Guttig’s men will try to progress to take their first points against Ilves Tampere.

The Norman team receives Ilves in its other! The two teams are very close in the ranking: Rouen is 22nd with 0 points while the Tampere team is ranked one place higher having taken two points. She fathered them in the 4-3 success after extra time for her first match against theUnia Oświęcim. This is the third season in a row that the Finnish team has reached the main phase of the CHL. Last season was a very good year for her with a sixth place. And yet, on the last day of the group, the residents of Lacroix Island managed to beat this team with a score of 6-1, including a double from Anthony Rech. However, his journey ended in the round of 16, losing against Paradubice 5-3 on aggregate (1-3; 2-2). If things are complicated in Europe, everything is going well for Ilves in Liiga, the championship in Finland. Tommi Niemelä’s men rank first with 24 points in 10 matches. Only Ässat will have managed to resist them, twice, since the start of the school year.

The best attack in the Finnish championship can count on a big trio up front to put pucks in the back of the net. Starting with the Swede, Jens Lööke. In the championship, the player who arrived from Sport, another club from Finland, ranks at the top of the best scorers. After 10 games, he has already scored five times for 13 assists. Next comes Eemli Suomi. He who has only known Ilves, is in line with last season when he scored 59 goals in 58 regular season matches. The Finnish international is already in good shape currently with a place on the podium of the top scorers in Liiga then another in the Top 10 in the Champions Hockey League. Finally, Rouen will have to be wary of Matias Matäntykiri, one of the other important figures of the team. In addition to these 11 points in Finland, he has already made four assists in the CHL, one of the best in this exercise for four games.
