After , the Rhône and Ain find themselves with their feet in the water

After this morning, it is now the areas all around which are affected by heavy precipitation in the trail of the Kirk depression. According to Météo-, the accumulations observed are of the order of 50 to 80 mm, or occasionally 80 to 100 mm mainly on the Rhône-Saône axis.

They would even reach 100 to 200 mm in the Cévennes, or occasionally 200 to 250 mm since the start of the disturbance Monday evening, Météo-France further specifies.

In the Rhône and Ain, heavy rainfall this morning flooded several houses as reported by Radio Scoop Lyon.

More than 63 mm was recorded at the Tête d’Or station in Lyon and more than 50 mm in the Lyon station. Our colleagues from BFM TV Lyon report that in Dagneux, north-east of Lyon (Ain), residents had to be evacuated as the water rose almost a meter high. Four houses were thus flooded and six others were, at midday, threatened if the weather deterioration forecast for the end of the day were to be confirmed, our colleagues specify.

One hope however: according to the Météo-France bulletin at 2 p.m., the orange “rain/floods” vigilance for Jura, Ain, Isère, Hautes-Alpes and Alpes-Maritimes has been lifted and they are returning in yellow, the most active part of the disturbance having now shifted towards Italy.
