First match between Laurens and Pierre (Don’t forget the words) in the Masters, who won?

This Monday, October 7, 2024 marks the long-awaited kickoff of the Masters of Don’t forget the lyricsbroadcast on France 2. This emblematic competition brings together each year the best Maestros of the musical game for fierce duels under the watchful eye of Nagui. For several weeks, the candidates have been competing against each other in a preliminary tournament, and it is finally time for the sixteen qualifiers to measure themselves against each other to try to achieve the final victory.

First two tight rounds

Among the Maestros who will compete, we find notable figures from the program. Laurens, for example, one of the greatest champions in the history of the game, will be there with his 457,000 euros won in 58 victories. It was he who opened the ball this Monday, by facing Pierre, who has 27 victories to his credit, 36th in the ranking. During the first round, Laurens collected 248 points, being overtaken by Pierre who managed to accumulate 258 points, before giving way to the return round. A disappointment for Pierre who still encouraged Laurens. “I didn’t regret anything, I did everything I could. Congratulations, I hope you go as far as possible. I hope to say that I was beaten by the winner of the Masters”he declared. For his part, during the final, Laurens managed to climb up to 10,000 euros. He will then face the winner between Manon and Natasha!

Who will be the other candidates to participate?

For the continuation of the Masters adventure, other stars of the program will come to defend their title, like Margaux, the number one in the ranking with impressive winnings. Caroline, Honorine, Valérie, Karine, Arsène, and Louis will also be among the competitors who intend to shine once again during this elite tournament.

The surprise of this year is Nathalie, who managed to qualify for the Masters in October 2023. Despite a shorter solo journey than some of the other Maestros (she had won 85,000 euros in twelve victories), Nathalie knew how to prove his worth during the preliminary phases. She didn’t expect to join the gaming elite at all, having herself admitted in an interview with TV 7 days : “I was so confident of getting out in the first round that I went in very relaxed.” All you have to do is rehearse to win the coveted title of best Maestro!
