Gstaad joins the Magic Pass

The multi-resort subscription includes the Bernese destination from summer 2025. A strategic expansion which coincides with a successful 2024 summer season and record sales for 2024/2025.

From the 2025 summer season, Gstaad will officially join Magic Pass, offering holders new opportunities to discover the west of the Bernese Oberland and the Vaudois Alps. The Gstaad ski lifts, which also include Rougemont, Schönried, Saanenmöser, Zweisimmen and St. Stephan, will further enrich the visitor experience, announces a press release.

This expansion reinforces the position of Magic Pass as an essential formula for enjoying the mountains all year round, summer and winter. Pierre Besson, president of the Magic Mountains cooperative, is delighted with this new development: “The integration of Gstaad illustrates our commitment to constantly enriching our customers’ experience. We are delighted with this collaboration which strengthens our leading position in mountain leisure. »

Matthias In-Albon, CEO of Bergbahnen Destination Gstaad AG, adds: “With Magic Pass, we are writing a new chapter for Gstaad. This subscription provides our visitors with incomparable flexibility and comfort. The Magic Pass revolutionizes access to our area, allowing our guests to easily discover our slopes and take advantage of the region’s many offers.”

Solid summer attendance despite the weather
Despite capricious weather conditions, summer 2024 attendance at Magic Pass partner resorts is increasing slightly. Sales of the Magic Pass 2024/2025 are growing strongly, with already more than 192,000 subscriptions sold after the price change on October 1. This figure reflects an increase of more than 17,600 Magic Passes (+10% compared to last year).

According to projections, total sales should reach 197,000 subscriptions, making it possible to achieve the budgetary objectives set for the year. The growing popularity of the package is particularly evident in the cantons of Bern, Zurich, Solothurn, Aargau, Lucerne and Basel, where all show an increase of +20%, as well as in Geneva, which sees an increase of +10%, where new stations joined Magic Pass this year. Growth also remains strong in French-speaking Switzerland, highlighting the continued appeal for subscriptions in this region (cp)
