Enve launches a new gravel tire: the Hex

ENVE launches the Hex tire for Gravel, now available in widths of 40 and 44 mm. The HEX is designed for all-around performance, with good yield qualities, thanks to a unique hexagonal tread block that can flex and adapt to the terrain to provide maneuverability and confidence in a variety of conditions.

The new ENVE Hex brings the following features:

• A protective strip at the tire bead for better protection against pinch punctures
• A protective belt under the tread limits the risk of punctures without reducing rolling efficiency or driving quality
• Kevlar bead optimized for hookless rims
• Double sidewall tread increases cornering traction and reduces tearing
• Side nubs of varying sizes and heights angled outward to articulate tread blocks that increase traction when cornering
• Decoupled tread blocks allow the carcass to flex and adapt to the terrain, maximizing traction and rolling performance
• The hexagonal shape of the block allows for a flexible pattern in three directions to add flexibility to the carcass to adapt to varied surfaces
• A “cat’s tongue” tread provides both driving and braking traction
