Real Madrid – Villarreal: Carlo Ancelotti decided for Mbappé

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has ruled on Kylian Mbappé’s playing time against Villarreal on Saturday.

Real Madrid host Villarreal on Saturday evening on the ninth day of La Liga. A match which should allow the Madrid club to return to victory and put pressure on Barça (1is21 pts). However, the question of whether or not Kylian Mbappé would be established still remained relevant. A few hours before the clash against the Yellow Submarine, Carlo Ancelotti resolved this question in his eleven.

Real Madrid’s double game with Kylian Mbappé

The Real Madrid (2e18 pts) has just spent six difficult days. Last Sunday, the Merengue club conceded a draw in the final minutes against Atlético Madrid during the Madrid derby (1-1). Three days later, Carlo Ancelotti’s men lost for the first time of the season during the second day of the Champions League against (1-0). A match contested by Kylian Mbappé, who came on in the second half. The French international was however announced to be out until the end of the month and was not even selected by Didier Deschamps for the next international break. We then wondered if Carlo Ancelotti was going to play him against Villarreal (3e17 pts), this Saturday, or not. The response from the Italian technician finally came.

Carlo Ancelotti innovates in defense

In the absence of Thibaut Courtois, injured, Andriy Lunin should be returned to the Real Madrid cages after his excellent match against Lille on Wednesday. In defense, Carlo Ancelotti should shift Aurélien Tchouaméni to the center to replace Eder Militao, too tight to start. The French international would thus find himself alongside the very rough Antonio Rüdiger. There should be no change on the sides however with Dani Carvajal on the right and Ferland Mendy on the left.

Ancelotti’s strong decision for Mbappé

In the midfield, Eduardo Camavinga should continue with a second start in a row after his return from injury. The former man should partner Federico Valverde and Jude Bellingham in midfield. Which means that Carlo Ancelotti would return to his initial 4-3-3 due in particular to the presence of Kylian Mbappé. The Bondynois should indeed start at the forefront of the Madrid attack alongside the Brazilians, Vinícius Júnior and Rodrygo Goes.
