Tô Lâm meets French-speaking Vietnamese intellectuals from overseas

On the morning of October 5 (local time), in Paris, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President of the Republic Tô Lâm met with exemplary overseas Vietnamese experts and intellectuals from countries of the French-speaking community.

On the occasion of his participation in the 19th^e Francophonie Summit and his official visit to France, Party General Secretary and Vietnamese President Tô Lâm met, on the morning of October 5 (local time), in Paris, exemplary overseas Vietnamese experts and intellectuals from countries in the French-speaking community.

During the meeting, overseas Vietnamese intellectuals shared experiences, gave opinions and suggested policies on issues such as multilateral cooperation in technology and artificial intelligence, business creation, growth and development, major challenges in developing the Internet of Things (IoT) to support economic growth, benefits of applying Blockchain technology in medicine and healthcare.

The leader praised and appreciated the enthusiastic and responsible opinions of overseas Vietnamese intellectuals, stressing that their contributions constitute a very valuable resource for their host country and their homeland – Vietnam.

Bridge role

He affirmed that the achievements obtained by Vietnam were due to the efforts of the entire political system, the people, the contributions of international friends and also the Vietnamese community abroad, including experts and intellectuals.

Tô Lâm called on overseas Vietnamese to continue actively promoting their role as a bridge in relations between Vietnam and French-speaking countries, bringing concrete benefits to all parties and direct contribution to the country’s development. . He hoped that they would continue to allow the country to benefit from global scientific advances.
