Zaho de Sagazan
A new sensation in French song, Zaho de Sagazan has experienced a meteoric rise in one year. The one who won four trophies at the most recent Victoire de la Musique a year after the release of her first album, La Symphonie des Éclairs, noticed both at the last Cannes festival and at the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games, gives an exceptional concert at the Cité internationale de la langue française.
A serious timbre carried by electronic rhythms which rub shoulders with Berlin techno and French electronica going from whispers to screams, the 21-year-old artist has fun, tells his story and dissects human failings on texts in French with sincerity sharp. His words, draped in powerful melodies with subtle melancholy, immerse us in a shared intimacy, where we taste the delicious freedom to dance, think and be moved.
Ladaniva
The Franco-Armenian duo deploys world music of rare richness, which reinvents what we call Balkan folklore, and which energizes, if not dynamites, the Anglo-Saxon pop format. This is the secret of Ladaniva’s joyful and poetic music, which is also summed up in an improbable meeting, one evening, when two stars decide to link their musical trajectory Jaklin and Louis. Their history is as intense as their pop music, woven with traditional Armenian songs, Balkan music, maloya, jazz, reggae and French ballads.
Baloji
He is an author, rapper, composer, but also stylist and director, Baloji Tshiani known as Balogi was born in Lubumbashi in the Democratic Republic of Congo and grew up in the multicultural city of Liège. After his beginnings in rap within the group Starflam, the artist went solo and contemplates our world as much as his journey in a militant and dancing poetry often imbued with a certain derision, sublimated by a clever mix of hip -hop, soul, French song and jazz sprinkled with electronic music.
