The president of the “Les Indépendants” group, Claude Malhuret, spoke in the Senate on October 2 after Michel Barnier’s general policy declaration

“I had a terrible nightmare last night, Mr Prime Minister. I was here today, at this stand, and in front of me, in the place where you are, it was not you… It was Lucie Castets,” he said from the stand.

Continuing his speech, Claude Malhuret, president of the Independents, Republic and Territories group in the Senate, had fun placing certain members of the New Popular Front in a possible government.

“Sandrine Rousseau, Minister of Finance and Degrowth, Sophia Chikirou, Minister of Justice, Sébastien Delogu, Minister of Memory and Veterans”, or even “Louis Boyard, Minister of Sustainable Development and Cannabis, and Jean-Luc Mélenchon, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Friendship with Russia, Hezbollah and the Bolivarian Alliance”.
