“I don’t like it at all…”: An emblematic adventurer from “Koh-Lanta” regrets the evolution of the rules of the game during reunification

A rare occurrence in “Koh-Lanta”, in 2023, during the “Immunity Hunters” season, the teams were able to choose their own volunteers. Grace volunteered for the yellows, and Quentin for the reds, with both candidates then going to the black ball. It was therefore Quentin himself who was eliminated in the draw… before, in a twist, Grace gave up. During the last season of “Sacred Fire” broadcast in early 2024, Léa, chosen by the yellows to represent the reds, created a surprise by pretending to want to go to the black ball. “No I’m kidding, I have a name to give“, she said to Pauline. She then chose to eliminate Ricky, who according to her had asked to leave off-camera. A fact denied by the latter.

“Breaking the news to others was really the worst position to be in”

This season, Gustin, from the red tribe, and Sopha, from the yellows, were chosen by the opposing team. With Charlotte, the latter was one of the last two women to have survived the numerous councils suffered by her tribe, with a strong core of boys. A great athlete, she has not yet been able to prove what she is capable of. As for the Swiss adventurer, strong in the events, he admits to being very weakened in the camp, which annoys some of his teammates, in particular Sarah. But ambitious, he makes no secret of wanting to see his adventure through to the end as an individual.

I highly expected it“, admitted Gustin to Puremedias. “People knew that in the individual events, I was going to want to show what I was capable of. And then, I didn’t want to go on a black ball either“. After an attempt at negotiation, Gustin then decides to eliminate – spoiler alert – the last arrival on the camp: Emmanuelle. The adventurer had first joined the yellow team, then the cursed tribe in place of Ilyesse after losing his duel, and then got his place in the game again after and this time joined the reds, an already well-knit team.

Breaking the news to others was truly the worst position to be in.” Gustin tells us. “But since Emmanuelle wasn’t there from the start, no one blamed me,” he explains.Afterwards also, if she had been someone excellent, who really deserved on a sporting level, perhaps I would have thought differently, because I also did on merit.“, he adds. “Luckily Emmanuelle is incredible. She always remains very positive. “Thanks to that, it wasn’t so bad to eliminate him.”
