Demonstration on October 1st in Chambéry, “We don’t want Michel Barnier but we want better pensions”

Some 500 people (according to figures communicated by the police) marched in the streets of Chambéry on Tuesday. Rally for pensions, salaries, defense of schools, health services, public service. And above all gathering, according to the participants “against the Barnier government and the denial of democracy that his appointment represents”.
“Not one more semester with Macron” says a young student from Savoie Mont-Blanc University, “not even one more day for Paul, a retired Chambéry resident”.

In this rather thin procession, which marched quickly in heavy rain, Eric Granata, one of the leaders of the CGT in Savoie, ensures that the employees and workers are ready to mobilize again.
