The transformation of Cora into Carrefour in Lempdes (Puy-de-Dôme) and Vichy (Allier) should start in the coming weeks.
This is a big change that will take place in the commercial landscape of Puy-de-Dôme. After the resale of all Cora stores in France, the Lempdes and Vichy hypermarkets will change brands. It was the Carrefour group which acquired it last July. Accordingly, the 61 Cora stores will become Carrefour stores by the end of the year. This is the case of the Lempdes hypermarket, open since 1972, one of the oldest in the group.
A transformation from October
The change of brand must take place in several phases starting this Tuesday, October 1. In its press release, the Carrefour group specifies that “the changeover will take place during a transition period of two weeks“. During this period, the 21 stores affected by the first wave, including that of Lempdes, will remain open.
Initially, the brand will be replaced and the offering of Carrefour products on the shelves will be significantly strengthened. The signage and work clothing will then finalize this change, before a major commercial highlight which will allow us to celebrate this change of brand.
Carrefour press release
The transformation of Cora de Lempdes into Carrefour should begin on October 25. As for Cora de Vichy, the change in teaching should occur during the last wave, from November 19.
