Urban Municipality of Antananarivo: Ovec validates the 7 applications

The files of the seven candidates running in the municipal elections of Antananarivo Renivohitra have all been accepted by the Candidate Registration and Verification Body (OVEC). He published yesterday the list of those who are selected and authorized to compete for the election on December 11 for the capital. All met the conditions, according to this body.

For the moment this is the provisional list, the last word goes to the independent national electoral commission (Ceni) which will publish the final list on October 8. If an application is invalidated by the Ceni, candidates will always have the possibility of appealing to the Council of State although the chance of success of this approach is minimal.

Meanwhile, the 7 candidates for mayor of Antananarivo are preparing to launch their pre-election campaign. These candidates are, let’s remind them, Harilala Ramanantsoa of IRMAR, Gascar Fenosoa of Gasikara Movement, Tojo Ravalomanana of TIM, Monja Roindefo of Monima, Joseph Martin Randrimampionona, alias Dadafara, of the party Total Refoundation of Madagascar (RTM), Ndriana Razanamasy and Tahiana Razafinjoelina of Tia Tanindrazana.
