Pensions, salaries: the first demonstrations took place on Tuesday in several cities at the call of the CGT, the FSU and Solidaires, joined by youth organizations which blocked several high schools, a few hours before the highly anticipated general policy speech of the Prime Minister. Demonstrators began to take to the streets in , chanting: “Young people in hardship, old people in poverty, we don’t want this society!”

Nearly 200 people are currently gathered on Place Soult in Castres (Tarn) this Tuesday, October 1 to demand the repeal of the pension reform and an increase in wages. They are preparing to parade in the city center.

The procession sets off from (Hautes-Pyrénées)

The procession set off shortly after 10:30 a.m. this Tuesday morning from the Labor Exchange in Tarbes. A relatively modest mobilization since there were 580 demonstrators according to the police, 800 according to the unions, having responded to the inter-union call.
