850,000 pensions increased by around €50 per month, here are the people concerned

This revaluation follows a first wave of increase in September 2023, which had already affected 600,000 people.

Since September 25, around 850,000 retirees have benefited from an average increase of €50 per month on their pension. This revaluation of pensions comes as part of the pension reform and aims to improve small pensions, in particular via the “contributory minimum” (Mico). This system mainly concerns retirees who have contributed their entire career on low salaries.

A catch-up carried out from September 25

To be eligible, you must have validated at least 120 quarters of contributions without reduction and receive a basic pension of less than €847.57. In addition, the total amount of pensions received, including supplementary pension, must be less than €1,352.23. This revaluation applies to retirees from the private and agricultural scheme, with retroactive payment of the amounts due since September 2023. The catch-up was carried out from September 25, i.e. approximately €600 gross. From October 9, 2024, pensions will be automatically increased. Retirees do not need to take any action as an informative letter has been sent to them.
