Cruz, the youngest son of David and Victoria Beckham, 19, is reportedly dating 28-year-old musician Jackie Apostel.
Cruz was seen leaving a hotel in Paris alongside Jackie, a singer-songwriter who was previously a member of the Brazilian girl band Schutz. The couple looked pretty casual and Jackie was wearing a baseball cap, but it was definitely them.
The couple also came out to support Cruz’s mother’s Victoria Beckham fashion show in Paris, and Jackie even posted a photo of herself wearing one of his designs on Instagram.
“The most beautiful parade and the most beautiful dress,” she wrote.
The new couple have been linked since June, and although Jackie has over 100,000 followers on Instagram, she has yet to reach the level of fame where her age is common knowledge.
When the two were dating, most fans thought they were around the same age, but Bonjour Magazine reported that two years ago she introduced herself as 26 in an Instagram post for Schutz, the girl group she came out of.
Netizens were divided by the couple’s potential age gap.
“At older ages the difference of a decade starts to make less difference, however, someone around twenty years old will be at a very different stage of development. Really a bit cringe,” said one.
“A 29-year-old attacks a 19-year-old? I wouldn’t be happy if it was my son,” someone else wrote.
“The age gap isn’t the problem,” someone else argued.
Someone else called the age gap “yuck.” Another argued that Cruz dating an older woman would give him much-needed “experience,” and one claimed the relationship was just an easy way for the younger woman 28 years old to make his “name” known.
Cruz is the youngest son of the famous Beckham family. His brother Brooklyn, 25, is married to billionaire heiress Nicola Peltz and his other older brother Romeo, 22, is giving professional football a shot.
Cruz also chose the path of public life. He has amassed over 2 million followers on Instagram, is a musician and has dabbled in modeling.
The 19-year-old’s main focus is his music career and he is clearly close to his famous family.
Cruz quite often posts photos of himself spending time with his brothers, his parents or his younger sister Harper.
He also has the word “Posh” tattooed on him in homage to his mother’s nickname in the Spice Girls.
When he turned 18, both his parents were happy about him. David Beckham said Cruz had “the most incredible energy and the biggest heart,” and Victoria shared on social media that she was “so proud” of the incredible young man he had become.
