In L’Aigle (Orne), the Bohin Manufacture is once again committed to Pink October.
The “Pink Tuesdays” operation, already proposed last year, is being renewed. As its name suggests, it will be held every Tuesday in October.
242 euros collected in 2023
On each entry to the workshop visit, at individual and full price, Bohin cancels its margin and donates 2 euros to the Interdisciplinary Department of Supportive Care for Oncology (DISSPO) of the Baclesse Center.
The latter works to optimize the living conditions of people undergoing treatment, thus improving its effectiveness. In this way, in 2023, these are €242 which had been handed over at the establishment located in Caen.
Make cushions and bags
Always with the aim of helping people in suffering and to improve care, the Bohin Manufacture is offering something new in this special month with, from October 8, the creative table.
Volunteers will then be able, through these free weekly workshops, to create objects that will be useful to people in care.
People bring their own materials, their own sewing machine and fabrics of their choice. We offer the patterns. We are also here to give advice.
Heart-shaped cushions can then be made which, placed under the arm, reduce tension due to surgery and relieve post-cancer pain; or even a drain holder, to combine aesthetics with the usefulness of this bag which facilitates mobility after surgery.
These projects will then be sent to the Baclesse Center. But you can also give it to someone you know.
Finally, to support research this time, the Bohin Manufacture is putting on sale a new personalized product adorned with pink color.
After the pink needles sold last year, it’s this time the tape measure which is highlighted. For each purchase, 50 cents will be donated to the Curie Institute.
