Capdenac-Gare. In October, Capdenac sees life in pink

Capdenac-Gare is once again adorned in pink for the launch of the Pink October campaign, an initiative to raise awareness of breast cancer screening. Indeed, for several days, decorations in pink hues, symbols of the fight against this cancer, have adorned the streets and emblematic places of the city. For this new campaign coordinated by the City of Capdenac, concrete actions are proposed in partnership with the Madeleine Brès health center and the Aveyron Committee of the League Against Cancer. Thus, on Thursdays October 3 and 10, interactive workshops will be offered at the health center from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. These workshops will aim to provide information on the prevention and screening of breast and cervical cancer. Natacha Quéraux, Asalée nurse, will lead these meetings. A smear screening, by appointment, will also be offered by Doctor Ghislaine Vantaux. On Wednesday October 23, a “Health Games” workshop will take place at the media library from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., to raise awareness in a fun way.

An aquatic event around post-cancer fitness will close the month on October 24 at the La LocÔ swimming pool.
