“Working together for a warm and prosperous Flanders (title of the agreement negotiated between the N-VA, Vooruit and the CD&V), it is not just a slogan, it is a promise made to all Flemish people”, said Mr. Diependale.
The nationalist listed some of the commitments and challenges that the new team has set: three billion euros of additional investment (a good part will go into the area of well-being: disabled people, care of the elderly, childcare, etc.) in return for a balanced budget in 2027, employment rate of 80%, support for entrepreneurs by tackling regulatory inflation and a signal to investors that Flanders is a land where they can do business.

Flanders also intends to assume its responsibilities in terms of climate and energy, which is lagging behind other entities in the country. “But we will not act rashly,” Mr. Diependaele warned.
