After the rout at Nice during the previous day (8-0), Saint-Étienne was in Nantes for a buyout operation. But after 10 minutes, Johann Lepenant opened the scoring for the Canaries.

The Greens almost returned to the locker room with a second goal to come back but Douglas Augustoperfectly served by a Moses Simon sharp, saw his left shot escape narrowly from the cages Gautier Larsonneur (40e).

As soon as he returned to the field, Lepenant performed a technical festival along the goal line before offering the break goal to Queue Thomas (49th). Saint-Étienne was on the verge of another disappointment when Matthis Abline found the post a few minutes later (55th).

And yet, the Greens came back! On a corner played with two players, Zuriko Davitashvili placed the ball on the skull ofAbraham Sissoko who deflected the ball victoriously (57th). Stade de Reims was once again able to count on its Japanese pair Keito Nakamura-Junya Ito to take it to Angers. From the 9th minute, Cédric Kipré offered a delicious ball to Nakamura who was happy to open the scoring. Already author of an attempt on target (7th), Marshall Munet crossed too much a shot after a serve from Ito (13th) before spoiling a face-to-face with Yahia Fofana (14e).

On the other hand, when the SCO goalkeeper did not deflect the center of Aurelio Buta and Ito took the opportunity to double the lead (25th). On the other hand, he was decisive in preventing his team from sinking definitively when he won a new duel against Munetsi, although served on a plate by Nakamura (45th).

The entrance to Mamadou Diakhon was decisive for the Champenois who killed the suspense when the new arrival finally allowed Munetsi, still too tender in the second period (54th), to finally score: while Fofana committed a hand error on the shot of his teammate, the Zimbabwean followed well (78th).

Reducing the gap by Zinedine Ferhat therefore remained anecdotal despite a magnificent sequence (84th), even if Ibrahima Niane (87th) then Farid El Melali each had a 3-2 ball. The SCO remains bottom with 2 points when Reims climbs to 4th place.
