Pink October 2024: The Eiffel Tower and three other places in lit up in pink this Monday evening

The Eiffel Tower and three other iconic monuments in the capital are adorned with pink this Monday, September 30, 2024, to mark the launch of Pink October. The opportunity to raise awareness about breast cancer, before a month of events to raise funds. A free show also awaits the general public near Place Vendôme.

On the occasion of the launch of this 2024 edition d’Pink Octoberorganized by thePink Ribbon associationthe Tour Eiffel will be illuminated in roselike every year. But as for the previous year, the iron lady will not be the only one to play the game: other monuments and iconic places in the capital will be adorned with pink for this solidarity event.

This year therefore, in addition to the Tour Eiffell’Luxor obelisk on Place de la Concordethe Place Vendômeas well as theNational Assembly light up in pink Monday September 30, 2024. In addition, Place Vendôme also hosts a show directed by Mehdi Kerkouche and set to music by Amir which features affected women from 7:30 p.m. The show takes place in the presence of Claudia Tagbo, Évelyne Dhéliat and Alice Detollenaere, godmothers of the association.

This meeting is essential for the association, which supports medical and scientific research all year round and raises women’s awareness of the diagnosis of breast cancer. If for several decades, significant progress in medical research or in the quality of life of patients has been made, it is essential to continue the fight against disease.

One in eight women risk of developing breast cancer during their lifetime. With this awareness campaign, the Ruban Rose association encourages all women to be screened regularly, in order to effectively fight against this disease. Detected in time, 9 out of 10 breast cancers are cured.
