A 33-year-old man, suspected of having murdered one of his work colleagues found dead in Marseille, confessed to the facts in police custody. He had indicated the location of the body to police on Friday.
This Friday, September 27, a 24-year-old man, Mohammed S., was found dead in the 15th arrondissement of Marseille. According to information from La Provence, it was the main suspect in the alleged assassination of the young man who indicated the location of the body to the police.
The man, aged 33, is a work colleague of the victim, who worked as a crane operator. His profile was spotted by investigators, who arrested him on Thursday evening.
After initially denying his involvement in the murder of Mohammed S., the thirty-year-old confessed and allowed the police to locate the young man’s body.
Circumstances and motive “to be specified”
According to La Provence, an argument broke out between the two men on September 20 near the Bricarde city. This allegedly degenerated to the point where the suspect shot Mohammed S. with a hunting rifle.
“We are not at all involved in narco-banditry, the motive remains unclear and needs to be clarified,” declared Nicolas Bessone, public prosecutor of Marseille, to La Provence. He adds that a judicial investigation was opened and that the suspect was imprisoned.
Following the shot, the young man’s body fell several meters below. The shooter then covered it with a branch to make it less visible.
Mohammed S., a young father, was finally found between the Cité la Bricarde and the Grand Littoral shopping center.
