Reims easy against Angers, ASSE snatches a draw in Nantes

Due to the return of the European Cups, the Ligue 1 championship was not driven by its usual Sunday afternoon multiplex. In fact, only two matches were played on September 29 as part of the sixth day of the championship. FC Nantes was joined on its lawn by AS Saint-Etienne while SCO Angers logically lost to Stade de Reims.

ASSE returns thanks to Sissoko, Nantes can blame themselves

From the first minutes of play, FC Nantes came close to opening the score thanks to Augusto. The midfielder’s shot narrowly missed Gauthier Larsonneur’s target. In the process, Antoine Kombouaré’s men will open the scoring. The AS Saint-Etienne defense cannot break free and Johann Lepenant is on the lookout. The midfielder on loan from Olympique Lyonnais sends a powerful strike to deceive Gauthier Larsonneur and explode the Beaujoire stadium. Reims too strong for Angers

The other promotion released this Sunday afternoon is also in pain. From the ninth minute of play, Stade de Reims took the lead thanks to Keito Nakamura. Found on a magnificent cross from Cédric Kipré, the Japanese international finished low. Luka Elsner’s men literally asphyxiate their opponents of the day. In the 25th minute of play, Yahya Fofana repels a Reims attempt with his foot. Junya Ito follows the action well and doubles the lead like a surface fox. Just before half-time, the Ivorian goalkeeper will save his team from humiliation. Marshall Munetsi appears in front of the last Angevin rampart but sees the latter winning their duel.

The debates will remain as they are during the first moments of the second half. Angers did not succeed at all in this meeting and continued to suffer the wrath of the Champagne team. In the 73rd minute of play, Junya Ito continued to make his opponents suffer and saw his cross very close to finding a taker. Four minutes later, Yahia Fofana continues to save his teammates from a humiliation which nevertheless reaches out to them. In the 79th minute of play, Marshall Munetsi saw the ball come back to him after a strike from Mamadou Diakhon. The midfielder increases the score. A few seconds later, the SCO, piqued in its pride, will save its honor thanks to Zinédine Ferhat, who got rid of Teddy Teuma. The score will no longer move. Reims climbs to the foot of the podium, Angers remains bottom.
