Kris Kristofferson, Nation’s Music Legend, Dies at 88

Kris Kristofferson “passed away peacefully at his home” in Maui, Hawaii, on Saturday, September 28, Fox Information Digital has confirmed.

In addition to his roles in the “Blade” trilogy and “Pat Garrett and Billy the Child,” Kristofferson won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor for his role in “A Star Is Born.”

The nation music legend was part of the Highwaymen with Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson and Johnny Money.

The supergroup revolutionized the style of outlaw nation music in the 1980s.

“It is with heavy hearts that we share the news that our husband/father/grandfather, Kris Kristofferson, passed away peacefully Saturday, September 28 at home,” his family said in a statement provided to Fox Information Digital.

“We are all very lucky to spend time with him. Thank you for loving him all these years, and when you see a rainbow, know that it smiles on all of us,” Kristofferson’s family said.
