In a rhythmic and open match, Rennais opened the scoring, then took cover before half-time thanks to Mandiouban’s double (9′, 40′). After the meeting, Lionell Kouakoua, the Rennes coach, said that his training had “been in management. We enforced the hierarchy. We wanted to reach for them high. We tested a new organization with three defenders. I am generally satisfied with the mastery shown to us”.
