At the end of the current season, the thirty-two best teams in the world will meet in the United States for the new Club World Cup. Paris Saint-Germain will participate in this unique edition of the tournament in America.
The 2024/2025 season is already well underway. Despite criticism from certain players regarding an increasingly overloaded calendar, the big clubs will not be spared in the coming months. From June 15 to July 13, the 2025 Club World Cup will take place in a new and different format, and unlike in different years, thirty-two teams spread across different continents will compete in the United States, where twelve stadiums which will organize the matches have been confirmed by FIFA. Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, Nashville, Cincinnati, Miami, Orlando, Washington and Philadelphia are the lucky winners. Paris Saint-Germain, which will participate in this prestigious international competition, communicated about the holding of the event on its website after the official publication of the selected speakers.

The President of FIFA, Gianni Infantino, was delighted with the holding of such a competition, as did Paris Saint-Germain who voluntarily wanted to emphasize the new formula which will see the elite of world football compete for four long, intense weeks on the American continent during the summer: “The draw will take place in December, because two teams out of the 32 are still missing: one of them will come from South America and the other will represent the host country. These 32 teams will then be divided into eight fantastic groups of four.we can read on the club’s website. An initiative that can delight supporters, who will be able to travel in the coming months to see their favorite team in a competition like the Club World Cup which has never been contested under this format. PSG’s enthusiasm, however, is not shared by its own supporters, even if Luis Enrique confided that he found this idea brilliant in his eyes.
