The famous screenwriter, actor and director, Didier Kaminka has died at the age of 81. We owe him many iconic comedies of the 1980s and 1990s.

Another big name in cinema is leaving. Screenwriter, actor and director, Didier Kaminka has died at the age of 81. He died on Tuesday September 24, following an illness, at his home in Labbeville in Val-d’Oise, as his son told AFP on Saturday September 28.

Accomplice of the director Claude Zidi, he had worked for very popular films like The Under-Gifted (1980), Banzai (1983) with Coluche, Les Ripoux (1984) with Philippe Noiret for whom he wrote the dialogues. He also worked for the film The Total! which James Cameron will adapt in the United States, with Arnold Schwarzenegger, under the title True Lies.

On the production side, it is to him that we also owe Sofa promotion (1990) et My wife leaves me (1996). His last film as director was My wife leaves me (1996) with Michel Boujenah, Miou-Miou, Thierry Lhermitte and Daniel Russo.
