AS Monaco overthrows to celebrate its Centenary!

Stunning against , the Rouge et Blanc won after added time thanks to a goal from Lamine Camara, perfectly celebrating the Centenary match.

Mad ! First trailing against Montpellier for the Centenary match, the Rouge et Blanc equalized through Folarin Balogun before the final bouquet signed Lamine Camara, scorer in the dying seconds (2-1). A meeting, which was kicked off by HSH Prince Albert II and President Dmitry Rybolovlev, accompanied by the dean of the Legends present, Lucien Cossou, and the youngest of La Diagonale, Winsley Bolmin.

The context ????

AS Monaco celebrates its Centenary during the reception in Montpellier. For the celebration to be beautiful and complete, the Red and White must win against the current championship barrage. A match within their reach that will have to be taken seriously, as has been the case since the start of the season, since they are still undefeated (four wins, one draw).

We will have to be careful to concentrate fully on this match. was a good example on Sunday because we had to struggle in the first half before playing better in the second. We will have to be ready on Saturday from the kick-off in order to take it for these celebrations.

The composition ????

At the kick-off of this meeting, Adi Hütter aligns his team in 4-4-2 where we note the returns in the XI compared to the success acquired against Le Havre from Mohammed Salisu, Vanderson, Denis Zakaria Maghnes Akliouche, Eliesse Ben Seghir and Breel Embolo. The Swiss striker will be accompanied by Folarin Balogun, while Aleksandr Golovin will be in the middle with his captain.

The scenario ????

In a very well-filled Stade Louis-II and adorned with two magnificent tifos to celebrate the Centenary of the Club, the Monegasques started well and Embolo’s strike went over (7th). The Swiss then comes up against Bertaud from close range, just like Denis Zakaria (13th). They are unfortunately trapped by a rapid attack via Rabby Nzingoula (16th).

Balogun to reset the counters

It then takes a save from Mohammed Salisu on his line to prevent Montpellier from making the break (17th). This big scare passed, the Red and White moved forward again and Folarin Balogun’s attempt went over (19th). In the process, Philipp Köhn must however be vigilant against a strike from Savanier (26th).

A saving save since six minutes later, the American equalized from the left at the near post (32nd). Ideally served by his attacking colleague, he scored his second goal this season, the second in a row after Le Havre last week.

Opportunities on both sides

The second period starts again with a festival of dribbling from the Monegasque captain, concluded by a back cross intended for Vanderson, who fails to fire (47th). The response came two minutes later by Savanier, whose shot at the near post was caught by Köhn (49th), then by Akor Adams who shot wide (55th).

The Red and Whites have the ball and after a superb collective action, Caio Henrique serves Maghnes Akliouche behind but the latter slips and fails to hit the target (63rd). No success also for Balo’, who saw his powerful shot crash into Bertaud’s post (65th).

The Red and Whites stumble on defense…

Adi Hütter’s men push and win several corners. On one of them, Mohammed Salisu’s header was saved on his line by Khazri (75th). A story of set pieces in these last 45 minutes since Savanier found the square on a free kick (85th). The match got lively and Lamine Camara, who entered shortly after the hour mark, came up against Bertaud (86th), before seeing his shot go over (89th).

Before Lamine’s flash at the end of added time

In numerical superiority after the second yellow received by Coulibaly (93rd), the Rouge et Blanc want to break the deadlock but Ouattara also stumbles on Bertaud (97th). Additional time continues to tick by and there are only a handful of seconds left when Camara fires a shot at the edge of the area. This is well placed and fits into the cages with the help of the post (98th).

The Centenary celebrated in the best possible way

It’s totally crazy, AS Monaco takes the advantage in the last seconds! The referee immediately whistled the end of the game, and the Principality club won 2-1 in a completely stunning manner, thus celebrating its Centenary in the best possible way. Next meeting in four days when they will travel to Zagreb to face Dinamo in the Champions League. DAGHE MUNEGU !!!! ????????
