Benoit Saint Denis: Brendan Allen is frustrated by his place on the UFC Paris card

Brendan Allen thinks the place in the main event of UFC Paris goes to him and Nassourdine Imavov.

Saturday, September 28, the UFC makes its annual stop in the City of Lights with two high-stakes clashes at the top of the card. Headlining the evening, rising Brazilian star Renato Moicano will face Benoit Saint Denis. This will be a fight between two members of the top 15, with ‘Money’ being ranked 11th at lightweight, while ‘God Of War’ occupies the spot just below him. The previous fight will pit two of the best middleweights in the world, Brendan Allen (8th) and Nassourdine Imavov (4th). It’s the American who complains about his place on the UFC Paris card.

Brendan Allen was a little baffled that Moicano and Benoit Saint Denis were assigned to the main event. Indeed, he believes that his fight against Nassourdine Imavov is a semi-final for the under 84 kilos title.

“I feel like it’s a bit disrespectful to me, and not just to me, but also to Imavov”Allen told MMA Fighting. “Our fight has potential title implications, as this is the 11th and 14th [12e]I think so, if I’m not mistaken. The two main event guys should be the co-main event under us.”
