Count the birds in your garden!
The French Biodiversity Office (OFB) invites you to participate in the census and scientific monitoring of bird species in France with its observatory throughout the weekend! This participatory science system is organized twice a year: one in January, during wintering, the other in May, during the breeding period, for a contribution to the monitoring of the most common species.
How does it work? First step: choose a place of observation, which can be a garden, a balcony or public park, in the city or in the countryside. Then observe the birds for an hour, identify them and note the maximum number of invidus seen simultaneously for each species. Descriptive sheets are available to guide novices. Then you just have to transmit observations on the birdsdesjardins.fr site thanks to this user guide. Last year, more than 17,000 observers mobilized and identified more than 547,000 birds.
If the domestic sparrow, the blue and charcoal chicks, the redgorge or the black merle have the coast and are among the species most often encountered in winter, the OFB observes a significant increase in the big Nhauns observed in France.

Art to denounce the impunity of sexual and sexist violence
Inspired by the complaints of eight French women to the European Court of Human Rights, the Collective Our Ohrage organizes an artistic performance at the Marseile courthouse this Sunday. Complaints aim to denounce the dysfunctions of the French judicial system such as the refusal of complaints, sexist words, endless procedures, the onfrontation imposed with attackers, etc. And ask France to comply with its international commitments in this area (notably the Istanbul Convention).
The collective is part of the process of visiting “a system that does not respect European conventions” rather than pointing the finger at certain individuals and recalls that in France, 94% of rape complaints are classified without follow -up and only 0 , 6% of rapes or attempted rapes are the subject of a conviction.
