OM supporters banned from traveling to Nice

It is now a classic. As expected, the prefect of Alpes-Maritimes has decided to ban supporters from traveling to Nice.

“Individual or collective travel, by any means, of any person claiming to be an OM supporter or behaving as such, is prohibited on Sunday January 26 from 12 a.m. to midnight between the municipalities of the Bouches-du department. -Rhône and the commune of Nice”specifies the press release.

A measure supplemented by another ban. OM supporters not coming from Marseille (i.e. wearing a club scarf or jersey) are prohibited around the Allianz Riviera stadium from 3 p.m. to midnight. But also between Nice city center from 12 p.m. to midnight.

Police reinforcements

The Alpes-Maritimes prefecture also announces an important security system for “ensure the maintenance of public order” Sunday. She can count on the reinforcement of mobile forces units and the soldiers of the Sentinel force.

In total, 250 people will be mobilized on Sunday. Anti-intrusion devices will also be deployed at entry points to the Allianz Riviera stadium.
