Taxing retirees to finance social protection, Labor Minister Astrid Panosyan-Bouvet brings out Emmanuel Macron's old whims

The Minister of Labor caused controversy this Wednesday by proposing to tax pensions above 2,000 euros to finance social protection. A measure which aims to break the principle of solidarity and intergenerational financing of Social Security, which Emmanuel Macron failed to put in place in 2018.
