German police arrested a suspect shortly after the stabbing attack that left two people dead in Bavaria.
GERMANY – Drama in Germany. Two people were killed this Wednesday, January 22 in the park of Aschaffenburg, in the center of the country, according to information provided by the German police.
Although the circumstances of the attack are not yet clearly established, it was clarified that it was a stabbing attack targeting a 41-year-old man and a two-year-old boy. The events took place around 11:45 a.m. in Schöntal park, very close to the city center of Aschaffenburg, access to which was prohibited and cordoned off by the police.
At this stage, an individual was arrested by the police, after a chase which led to the stopping of railway traffic in this Bavarian municipality, the suspect having crossed the railway tracks while trying to escape. 'escape, as RTBF specifies.

According to local Bavarian media Münchner Merkurquoting a police spokesperson, “investigations have started on the mobile” of this attack.
