Bald repented in spite of himself. This is how we could describe the former Prime Minister Édouard Philippe, whose physical changes in recent years had pushed him to explain himself. The politician had thus indicatedfollowing the depigmentation of his hair and beard, first suffered from vitiligo, from 2020, then from alopecia.
If these physical changes were not serious, benign, they had caused a lot of ink to be spilled and required, for the statesman, a certain adaptation.
In the columns of Parisian this Saturday, January 18 (Source 1), the man who found his hat as mayor of Le Havre spoke about yet another change which did not fail to surprise him once again.
“Last June, it started to grow back, without treatment or surgery. It made me funny. I feel like I'm reliving my puberty”, he indicated. “It turns out that the hair that grows back is black. My daughter said to me: 'It's the return of the panda'. And it made him laugh”, laughed Édouard Philippe, obviously more to the point.
-“I'm somehow back from among the bald”, he joked, while admitting that “it changes the way you look at yourself”.
“I experienced having this illness which was neither dangerous, nor contagious, nor painful, but visible. Very visible”, he continued more seriously. “Losing all your hair is anything but neutral. It changes your appearance, your face, the way you look at yourself and how others see you. It's not nothing”, admitted the politician.
More or less in spite of himself, Édouard Philippe had contributed to the trivialization or even the highlighting of these skin and hair diseases which are vitiligo and alopecia. He had lost up to his eyebrowsand assured that these would not grow back. Proof again, as he himself says about politics, that “anything can happen” and that we must “prepare for anything”.
