Only with a great game would Gil Vicente be able to beat one of the big ones tonight?
«We knew that FC Porto were injured and that they would give everything to win here, but we worked hard, for some time now it has been difficult to beat us. We were very focused on our work and always believed that we could win today. We worked for the three points, we didn’t come here to get less than that. Now, of course we know the quality of the opponent, but I think it was a great game, we managed to be competent to achieve this victory, which I consider fair».
-After 1-1, it was clear that FC Porto wanted to attack, but they managed to react quickly and regained the advantage five minutes later. Was it a key moment in the game?
— Yes, I think so, because we know how it is, FC Porto was coming from a negative phase and our first goal ended up messing with them. After they equalized we felt a lot of strength, we thought they were going to react, but it ended up being good for us. But it wasn’t just the moment we turned the game around, I think we had a competitive attitude from the first minute and that was the key to winning here today».
