Alaves deepens the wounds of Real Betis in the Spanish League

Today, Saturday, Deportivo Alaves deepened the wounds of Real Betis, defeating them by three goals to one in a match between them in the twentieth round of the Spanish League competitions.

The two teams met at Betis’ home stadium, Pinto Villamarín Stadium.

Betis’ suffering continues

Betis fell behind with the first goal by striker Kiki Garcia, who gave Deportivo Alaves the lead in the 11th minute from the penalty spot, then Jesus Rodriguez equalized with a goal in the 28th minute.

The first half ended in a draw (1-1) between Betis and Alaves.

In the second half, player Romain Beraud received a red card in the 55th minute, as Real Betis completed their match against Alaves with 10 players.

Deportivo Alaves took advantage of Real Betis’ numerical deficiency, so that Quique Garcia was able to complete the hat-trick, adding two goals in the 80th and 84th minutes, respectively.

Betis lost the last 3 matches in all official competitions, the most important of which was 5-1 against Barcelona in the Spanish King’s Cup.

The decline in Real Betis’ ranking in the Spanish League continued with 25 points in eleventh place, while Deportivo Alaves advanced to sixteenth place with 20 points.
