Provence – FCG, D-1!
The last two matches at the Stade Maurice David, in Aix-en-Provence, left a strong impression on any FCG supporter
– a defeat where the FCG conceded 40 points, during the last match of the regular season (30th day): a disappointment which put an end to a series of resounding victories.
– and then, a few weeks later, a victory in the semi-final full of emotion, by one point, which transported the Grenoble public, and gave all the Rouge & Bleu a one-way ticket to the ProD2 final in Toulouse .
So of course, these two matches have necessarily been on the minds of our Rouge & Bleu in recent days, and in yours too.
But when we ask them the question, their minds remain well and truly anchored in the present, within this new season, and this new team, of which several players aligned on the line-up will discover Aix, the Stade Maurice David, and sometimes even Provence Rugby. While we remember past matches, our players remain faithful to their motto at the start of the season, and focused: “one match after another”.
The Provençaux are currently fourth in the ranking, and are one of the last three teams undefeated at home, alongside FCG in particular. For the resumption in 2025, the Blacks and Whites won in Agen, while the Rouge & Bleu pocketed the offensive bonus against Montauban.
-There is no doubt that both teams will want to continue their momentum, have the last word in the match, and continue to establish themselves at the top of the ranking… Our Rouge & Bleu will therefore be eagerly awaited!
