Real Madrid’s Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti said he found the behaviour of the fans at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium “acceptable” and labelled the whistles as “a wake-up call“.
“The Bernabeu has whistled to give a wake-up call and when the game has been complicated they have pushed. When the Bernabeu pushes, it’s special for us,” he told a press conference.
“It’s a wake-up call from the fans to the players and the coach. I think it’s acceptable because of what happened against Barcelona. Afterwards, the team reacted well, especially Tchouameni, who played a great game,” he added.
The French player was the most whistled player by the Madrid fans and received a fierce defence from his coach.
-“‘He is a player of absolute characterwho has returned to his position and has helped the team especially on the defensive side, winning back a lot of balls, helping the centre-backs, being good at pressing and helping Modric and Ceballos on the ball,” he concluded.
