According to police reports, the attacker entered the house through the stairs with the aim of stealing and clashed with the actor’s maid, before Khan tried to intervene to calm the situation, but he was subjected to six successive stab wounds, including deep injuries to the spine and neck.

The artist was taken to Lilawati Hospital, where he underwent delicate surgery to remove knife fragments and repair a spinal fluid leak.

The medical team confirmed that Khan had passed the danger stage after undergoing plastic surgery to treat wounds in his hand and neck, indicating that his health condition is currently stable, while a doctor at the hospital explained that the artist began to show a noticeable recovery, with expectations that he will fully recover soon.

According to medical sources, the actor’s eldest son, Ibrahim, helped save his father by urgently transporting him to the hospital using a rickshaw, in the absence of a nearby car, which helped provide timely treatment.

In developments in the investigation, Mumbai Police announced that they had identified the attacker, noting that special teams had been formed to track down and arrest him, stressing that more details would be announced later.

It is noteworthy that Saif Ali Khan, known for his distinguished roles in Indian cinema, is considered one of the most prominent stars of Bollywood. He began his artistic career in 1993 and participated in more than 60 films, during which he won prestigious awards such as the National Film Award and the Padma Shri Award.
