American official: Agreement to stop the war in Gaza
An American official confirmed, on Wednesday, that Israel and Hamas had reached a ceasefire agreement and the release of a number of hostages in Gaza, in the final days of President Joe Biden’s administration.
The agreement, which was announced earlier by a source familiar with the talks in Qatar, comes after Biden intensified his efforts to conclude an agreement before Donald Trump returns to the White House on January 20.
