It is “a way of taking into account these assets, (their) size, and of considering verifying that they do not escape tax, by assigning them a contribution rate,” declared the prime minister.

The government is working on a “anti-optimization tax for high net worth” which could appear in the 2025 draft budget, François Bayrou announced this Tuesday in his response to deputies after his general policy declaration.

“Which is a way of taking into account these assets, (their) size, and of considering checking that they do not escape tax, by assigning them a contribution rate”added the Prime Minister, who judged «possible» that this measure appears in the draft budget.
