Land in sight! While Charlie Dalin sees the finish line of the Vendée Globe fast approaching, the skipper has already been able to see a piece of continental France this Monday afternoon.
Thanks to the flight of a helicopter from the organization, it is in fact possible to distinguish the Breton coasts, and more precisely those of Finistère, a few miles from the Macif boat.
Arrival scheduled for this Tuesday morning
According to estimates, Charlie Dalin should cross the finish line in Les Sables d'Olonne (Vendée) early Tuesday morning, probably between 5:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., barring any damage.
Such a time would allow the skipper to finish the event in just over 64 days, and therefore to crush the record for the event, held by Armel Le Cléac'h since 2017 (74 days, 3 hours, 35 minutes and 46 seconds).
