A fire, the origin of which is currently unknown, destroyed the front of the “Café de la Paix” this Sunday morning around 5 a.m. According to the Haute-Corse Fire and Rescue Service, the fire started outside the establishment on Place Saint-Nicolas at 4:59 a.m. before spreading inside the café. Emergency services were quickly mobilized on site where police, EDF and GDF services went. The flames were brought under control a little before 5:30 a.m., but the damage was significant, reported the Haute-Corse emergency services. More info to come.
