Ajla Tomljanovic once again gets the first break of the set and now leads Ashlyn Krueger by a break in the third set.
Interestingly it was the American who took a toilet break after winning the second set, while the Aussie sat in quiet contemplation, even snubbing her coaching corner.
“That is an even bigger game I think for the fact that Krueger was up 40-15 on serve and Ajla not looking to up and about at the start of that game and now suddenly some positive body language happening,” Aussie great Sam Stosur says on Nine.
“But just going back to the set break, interesting, Kruger leaves the court for a few minutes.
“Ajla didn’t go to her team for a little bit more advice or help to reset, but it seems like she has done a good job so far of resetting, staying in the moment. And that is what she has to do, stay in the moment, as we said, forget the second set result and really focus on doing the right things and backing herself in these bigger moments.”
