Ange Postecoglou could face the sack if he doesn’t axe Tottenham forward Timo Werner at halftime against Tamworth on Sunday.

Postecoglou was expected to make wholesale changes for the FA Cup third-round tie at the Lamb Ground on 12 January, with several players in like to make their Spurs debuts.

However, the Australian decided to name a relatively strong team.

Therefore, many supporters would have expected Spurs to be out of sight by halftime. However, they haven’t even managed to find the back of the net yet.

As a result, Postecoglou needs to make a change at halftime to avoid complete humiliation.

Should Spurs fail to advance to the fourth round of the FA Cup on Sunday, Postecoglou could be sacked by Spurs.

Therefore, it appears as though the manager’s job is very much on the line in the second half against Tamworth, as the home side are very much still in this tie, and have arguably created the better chances.

In terms of Spurs’ attacking players, James Maddison is arguably the only man who can hold his head somewhat high after forcing a couple of saves out of Jasbir Singh.

Meanwhile, Werner has been completely anonymous and doesn’t deserve to come back out for the second half.
