The match between Tottenham and Tamworth, in the third round of the FA Cup, witnessed a funny incident that led to its start being delayed for a few minutes, due to a hole in the goal net.
Tamworth FC will host Tottenham Hotspur in the third round of the FA Cup, at The Lamb Ground.
Before the start of the match, the referees found cuts in the goalkeepers’ nets, delaying the start of the match for five minutes, until the Tamworth players intervened themselves to end the crisis.
Tamworth players worked together to fix the problem with the net, with Tamworth star Beck Ray Enoro standing on the shoulders of his teammate Jordan Thomas Liburd and using duct tape to fix the net.
Sam Matterface, in his commentary on the match on ITV, revealed that Enoro works as a sales assistant in a famous clothing store, in addition to being a part-time footballer.
